From understanding deep science breakthroughs to mapping the GHG emissions landscape, technical analysis has always been at the heart of what we do. That's why we're so excited to welcome Chloe Coates to the ZCC team as our first Venture Analyst.
For this role, we knew we wanted someone with a deep sense of curiosity, a rigorous logical mind, a passion for tackling climate-change and experience that would continue to raise the scientific IQ of the company. Chloe has all of these in spades. She holds Masters and PhD degrees in chemistry from the University of Oxford, worked at the materials science startup Pangaia, and is joining ZCC from her role as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge. At Cambridge she has been working on understanding degradation processes in lithium-ion battery materials to power the continued electrification transition. When she’s not thinking hard about the world, Chloe likes to play football and swim in the sea - seems like a wild-swimming offsite is on the cards!
Chloe's main areas of focus will be owning the technical analysis to support our due-diligence process, as well as generating primary sectoral research to help identify and drive unique investment opportunities. We're also excited to support Chloe in building a network of like-minded, climate-focussed venture analysts, so if that sounds like you, then please reach out!
