Update: We were chosen as the winner in the "Best Newcomer" category! Sadly we couldn't be there in person but our Fund Managers Sapphire were able to accept the award on our behalf.

(The "Spirit of EIS" award very deservedly went to our friends over at Deepbridge.)

Thank you to all our investors, portfolio companies and of course the EISA judges for making this happen. Find out more about the awards on the EISA website.

Zero Carbon Capital has been selected in an independent judging process to be a finalist in - not one - but TWO categories at this year's EISA awards! The EIS association is the trade body for the EIS industry, and has been a great resource and support for us as a new EIS fund.

The Best Newcomer award recognises "quality from a newcomer to the EIS/SEIS market". ZCC's Pippa was nominated for the award for her work setting up the Zero Carbon Fund, but also in working collaboratively with a wide range of in

dividuals and organisations to progress the climate tech investment ecosystem in the UK, in particular in supporting female entrepreneurs with the FiveThirteen organisation.

We are particularly proud that ZCC has also been selected as a finalist in the "Spirit of EIS award", designed to recognise "a new initiative, a company or an individual that has made a difference in enhancing or growing the S/EIS industry". We see EIS as being designed to support early-stage UK companies by incentivising investors to get involved, and the whole scheme is intended to support high-risk, high-reward knowledge-intensive technology companies - exactly the kind of company that we are focussed on.

The awards are judged on merit alone by an independent panel with representatives from small businesses and organisations across the EIS world.

We'll find out on Thursday night at the House of lords if we have been successful in winning in either of these categories!
