Today Breakthrough Energy Ventures announced their first cohort of Fellows. We're super-excited that Phycobloom founders John and Ian were selected to be part of the group and will benefit from the awesome support of the Fellowship Programme.
John and Ian are some of the smartest, most driven entrepreneurs we have ever met and they are working on one of the most difficult challenges of decarbonisation - aviation. BEV, like us, hopes that their breakthroughs in making algae based biofuels more affordable could help us make massively reduce the carbon footprint of flights without having to use massive tracts of land for bio-fuels.
